Michael Janich
Michael Janich is an accomplished martial artist with credentials in American Self-Protection, Serrada Eskrima, and Datu Kelly S. Worden’s Natural Spirit system. He is also one of the foremost authorities on handgun point shooting and one of the few modern instructors to have been personally trained by the late close-combat legend Colonel Rex Applegate. Janich’s impressive career has included 15 years of distinguished service with the U.S. government, including service with U.S. Army intelligence, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the Joint Task Force-Full Accounting (JTF-FA). The author of seven books and numerous instructional videotapes, Janich is best known as the founder of Martial Blade Craft (MBC) – a state-of-the-art edged-weapon training program that has been officially adopted and endorsed by the prestigious Spyderco knife company of Golden, CO. In addition to teaching seminars nationwide, Janich is a contributing editor for Tactical Knives magazine and the Video Production Manager for Paladin Press, the world’s leading publisher of books and videos on close combat.
